24 x80 Antique Vintage Old Salvaged Reclaimed Interior SOLID Wood Wooden Closet Pantry Door 2 Panels

Elegant, antique, closet door salvaged from an old, home in northeastern pa. The door is made of either solid douglas fir or pine and is stained and finished.

It has a traditional, arts & crafts style, 2 recessed (flat) panel arrangement. Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.

Condition: the door is strong, sturdy, and in excellent condition. It only has nicks and scratches, but no breaks, cracks, gouges, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, character marks. Swing: the door is set up to swing into a room towards the left or away towards the right. Refinish/repaint: we could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish. Modification: do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else we could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. 24" x 79 1/8" x 1 3/8.
