28 x77 Antique Vintage Old Reclaimed Salvaged Victorian SOLID Wood Wooden Interior Door 4 Recessed Flat Panel

Lovely, interior door salvaged from an old home in southeastern minnesota. The door is made of either solid douglas fir or pine and is completely painted. It has a traditional, victorian style design with 4 recessed (flat), vertical panels on both sides. When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees don't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine. Hardware: the door is not equipped with hardware. Condition: considering that the door is well over 100 years old, it's in great condition expect nicks, chips (small breaks), and scratches, but no rot, warp, broken or cracked joints, or any other serious issues. Most of the blemishes that it has will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, character marks. Refinish/repaint: we could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish.

We have hundreds of photos of doors we've worked on over the years for reference. Swing: the door is set up to swing into the room towards the left or outwardly towards the right. Modification: do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else we could modify the door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. 27 3/4" x 76 3/4" x 1 1/4.
