The doors are made of solid douglas fir or pine and are painted white. They have 15, true-divided windows with original, beveled glass. Today, "pine" is known as a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees doesn't have the same insect-resistant, rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees hundreds of years old has. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine.
Hardware: although the photos show the doors with hardware, the only hardware included are the hinges. We have the original locksets and could sell them for an additional charge--message us if you're interested. Condition: considering that the doors are almost 100 years old, they are in excellent condition.
They have the typical scrapes, scratches, and small nail holes that you would expect to find on old, used doors, but no breaks, cracks, warp, rot, or any other serious flaws. All of the glass is also intact and in great shape with only subtle scratches. Swing: all doors are set up to swing into a room towards the left or away from a room towards the right. Refinish/repaint: we could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the doors to prepare any of them for you to repaint or refinish. We have many photos of doors that we've restored that could give you an idea of how this pair could clean up.
Modification: do you want to turn these doors into a pair we could modify these doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, make molding, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc.
