Elegant, antique interior doors salvaged from an old, home in northeastern pennsylvania. The doors are made of solid cypress and have 5 raised panels on both sides. All the doors are stained on both sides.
If you're not familiar with cypress, it's considered a soft wood, but it's quite durable and rot-resistant. It is very popular in the south because it could stand up to the high humidity. Hardware: no door is equipped with any hardware. Uneven size: except door#5, the height and/or width of each door was unevenly cut (1/4" - 3/4"). The cuts was made most likely to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation.We could cut the door to an even height/width, cut it narrower and/or shorter, or even build it up to make it bigger--message us for a quote. Condition: considering the doors are well at least 100 years old, they are strong, sturdy and in great condition. They only have nicks and scratches, but no broken/cracked joints or any other serious issues.
The worst damage in this lot is on door#1 which has a small break on the bottom corner of the interior hinge-stile. Door#4 also has a break on the bottom of its lock stile and a break on the bottom of its hinge stile. Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks".
Modification: want to use 2 of these doors to make a pair we could also modify the door(s) to fit your opening or suite your needs.
