Antique Barrel Lock

This is a very old lock, with the working combination. I was told it was french when i bought it, but the letters aren't in french. That was a joke, i know their letters are mostly the same as the english speaking folk. Everytime i look at the lock and can't remember the combination, i look at the tag and it says'grma' which makes me think it is shorthand for grandma. But, this lock is older than my grandma.

I wish i knew more about locks, but i do not, so this information, as sadly undetailed as it is, is all i know. If i don't know more, how is the asking price correct well, it's what i bought it for 10 years ago. I was more intelligent then.
