The doors are handcrafted and built using solid alder. Given the handmade and finished nature of the products we craft, variations and imperfections in the wood should be expected and celebrated just as every tree is unique, so too is the wood used in each door. Every piece will have unique grain and knots. Solid wood may expand and contract due to changes in temperature and humidity; however, this natural movement does not affect structural integrity. We strive to build doors that have minimal movement by building in a humidity-controlled environment.
